Updated 2 November 2026 · Coming-soon website and waitlist
This notice explains how we handle your information when you visit the SatinLore website, join our waitlist, ask for updates or contact us.
Who we are
SatinLore is operated by MEDICID LIMITED. MEDICID LIMITED is responsible for how your personal information is used. In this notice, “we”, “us” and “our” mean MEDICID LIMITED, trading as SatinLore.
For privacy questions or requests, email team@satinlore.com. Our messages and replies are signed SatinLore Team.
What this notice covers
This notice covers the coming-soon website, waitlist and related messages. Our Research Privacy Notice covers the optional questionnaire, research follow-ups, prize draw and selection for early access or paid tests. We show that notice before asking for research answers.
A future reading account, purchase or connected-toy session may need other information. We will explain that use and update the relevant notices before collecting it. This website notice does not give us permission to collect your stories, control a toy or use private information for new purposes.
Information you give us
When you join the waitlist, we collect your email address, confirmation that you are 18 or older, and the choices you make about messages. If the signup form offers a name field, you can use a nickname. We also keep when and how you signed up and which privacy and consent wording you saw.
If you contact us, we receive your email address, your message and any information you choose to include. Please do not send passwords, bank details, identity documents, intimate images or private story text through the waitlist or general contact email.
You choose whether to give us your information. We need an email address to send the updates you request, and we ask for adult confirmation before adding you to the waitlist. Optional research and marketing choices are not required to browse the website.
Information from website use
Our website hosting and security services may process technical information needed to deliver the page and protect it. This can include your IP address, browser and device type, the requested page, time of access and error or security records.
We may record the link or campaign that brought a signup to us, such as a referral or campaign code. We use this to understand how people find SatinLore. We do not put your email address or private research answers in public links.
We also count public page views and waitlist-button clicks in daily totals, grouped by broad traffic source, referral category and device type. These daily totals contain no email addresses, raw IP addresses, full browser strings, private links or message content. We do not build visitor profiles or send these totals to advertising platforms.
To estimate daily unique visitors and page views, we briefly turn your network address and broad browser/device category into protected codes that change each UTC day and differ between the site and each page. These short-lived codes are pseudonymous, rather than anonymous. We do not store your raw network address or full browser string in measurement records, connect these codes to your contact details or use them for advertising. Shared networks and changes of browser or network can affect the estimates. Totals over several days add the daily estimates; they are not a count of different people over the whole period.
Our email service records information needed to send messages and handle delivery failures, complaints and opt-outs. If we introduce optional email open or click tracking that needs consent, we will explain it and obtain that consent before using it.
Optional session replays and heatmaps
Only if you choose Allow replay, we record limited activity on the public homepage to find confusing parts and improve it. This includes pointer and click positions outside forms, scrolling, public menu and FAQ opening choices, page size, a broad device category and time that public sections are in view. You can say No thanks and still browse or join the waitlist.
A replay plays these actions back over a copy of our public page. It is not a camera, microphone or screen-video recording. It does not record what you type, form contents, story text, private links or activity on other pages, the reading app or other websites. Forms and other marked private areas are excluded from pointer and click recording and are masked in playback.
Each opted-in visit gets a random temporary session code. These records are pseudonymous, not anonymous. We do not store raw network addresses, full browser strings or contact details in replay records, connect them to waitlist, questionnaire or contact records, or use them for advertising or to infer private interests. Hosting and separate security controls may still process technical information as described above.
Heatmaps group the recorded visits to show where clicks happened, how far people scrolled and how long public sections were in view while the page was active. Time in view does not show where someone looked or why they left. Playback can differ from the original page if its size, layout or content changed.
Replay is off until you opt in. Privacy choices lets you change this at any time. Do Not Track, Global Privacy Control and turning off website measurement also stop new replay recording. Turning replay off stops collection immediately and asks us to remove the current visit's replay if this page still holds its temporary deletion credential. If that request cannot finish, the saved visit expires on its normal schedule. Earlier visits cannot be found through a browser preference alone.
How and why we use information
Waitlist and requested updates: we use your email and preferences to keep you on the waitlist and send the early-access or launch messages you chose. We rely on your consent for these updates. You can withdraw it at any time.
Signup checks and essential service messages: we use limited records to verify a signup, prevent duplicate or abusive entries, honour your choices and tell you about a request you made. Our lawful basis is our legitimate interest in running a reliable and secure waitlist. We do not use this basis to send promotional messages after you opt out.
News and offers: where you separately opt in, we send SatinLore news or promotional offers. Our lawful basis is consent. Joining a survey, entering a draw or agreeing to sensitive research is not consent to marketing.
Contact and support: we use your message to answer your enquiry and resolve problems. Our lawful basis is our legitimate interest in responding to people who contact us. If an enquiry asks us to take steps towards an agreement with you, we use the information needed for those steps.
Security and compliance: we use necessary technical and administration records to detect abuse, fix faults, manage complaints and keep evidence of our actions. We rely on legitimate interests in protecting visitors and the service, or a legal obligation where a specific law requires us to keep or disclose information.
Aggregate website measurement: we use limited information to understand and improve the website. Where a specific legal exception permits this measurement without consent, we explain it and provide the required way to object. We do not treat a measurement exception as permission for advertising.
Optional session replay and heatmaps: we rely on your consent to record an individual homepage visit and use those records to improve the website. This is a separate choice from waitlist updates, marketing and research. We do not rely on an aggregate-measurement exception to record individual visits.
Cookies and similar tools
Cookies and similar tools can store or read information on your device. Tools strictly needed to provide a service you request, such as essential security or remembering your privacy choice, may work without separate consent.
Our aggregate website counters use no analytics cookies or lasting visitor identifiers. You can turn them off using the controls below or Privacy choices in the footer. We also honour Do Not Track and Global Privacy Control signals. A preference cookie remembers your measurement choice for 180 days and contains no visitor ID.
A separate preference cookie remembers whether you allow optional session replay for 180 days. It stores only your choice, not a session or visitor ID. The page keeps its recording's temporary write/deletion credential only in memory for the current visit. It is not saved in a browser cookie or browser storage.
We ask before using optional analytics, advertising or similar tracking where consent is required. You can refuse those tools and still use the waitlist. If such tools are offered, the cookie information and controls explain their purpose, provider and duration, and let you change your choice. Using the website alone does not mean you agree to optional tracking.
Research, prizes and private details
Research is a separate choice. Toy and adult-fiction answers may reveal private information about your sex life. We ask for explicit consent before collecting or using those optional answers, as explained in our Research Privacy Notice. We do not infer your sexual orientation from a signup or reading choice.
Optional research answers do not change the odds in the current random US$50 questionnaire draw. Relevant answers may help us match willing participants to suitable early access or paid tests. Selection and payment are not guaranteed. Each future cash prize offer will have its own rules.
We do not sell personal information or pass individual toy or adult-fiction answers to advertising platforms. We ask separately before using someone's words as a public testimonial. You do not have to post a public review to join the waitlist.
Who receives information
Authorised members of SatinLore Team and service providers may access the information needed for their role. These roles include website hosting and security, email delivery, contact management, technical support and, if you take part, research administration. Google Forms and a linked Google Sheet are used for the optional research questionnaire.
Service providers acting for us must handle information under our instructions and the terms that apply to their service. They receive only what they need for the relevant task. We may also disclose limited information to professional advisers, regulators or authorities where needed for a legal duty or a specific legal claim.
Links to other websites take you to services with their own privacy practices. Check their notices before giving them information.
Information handled outside the UK
A service provider may store or access information outside the UK. Where UK transfer rules apply, the transfer must be covered by a UK adequacy decision or another valid safeguard, such as appropriate contract terms with any additional protections needed. Contact team@satinlore.com to ask which safeguards apply and how to obtain a copy. Your choice to join the waitlist does not waive these protections.
How long we keep information
We keep a waitlist record while you remain on the list and it is needed to provide the updates you requested. If you leave, we close the waitlist, or the purpose ends, we delete or anonymise the record unless a limited part is still needed for a separate lawful purpose. A separate news subscription follows your own choice and does not continue simply because you once joined the waitlist.
Contact form messages expire after 30 days. We keep aggregate website totals for up to 90 days. The protected daily measurement codes expire one minute after UTC midnight, allowing a brief grace period for requests still being processed, and are removed by the scheduled cleanup. They are retained for at most about 24 hours plus that grace and the next cleanup tick. We keep technical records for the period needed to investigate faults or abuse and maintain security. We review these records and remove them when those purposes end.
Optional replay records, their consent version and the heatmaps made from them are available for up to 30 days, then removed by the scheduled cleanup. A single replay is limited to ten minutes and a bounded number of actions. These limits can make a replay incomplete. We do not keep a separate lasting copy of a visit in a heatmap after its replay expires or is removed.
We keep limited proof of consent, withdrawal or a complaint where needed to show how we handled your choices or resolve a dispute. We may keep a minimal opt-out record, such as an email address and the date of the opt-out, to avoid contacting you again. It is not used for promotional targeting.
Where a law requires a record, we keep only the necessary details for that requirement. The purpose, any legal duty, an open dispute and whether the record still needs to identify you determine the period. Research, draw and payment records follow the separate periods or criteria stated in the relevant research notice and offer terms.
Your choices and rights
You can stop waitlist updates or marketing using the link in the email, or by contacting team@satinlore.com. You can also withdraw consent to research separately. Withdrawal does not undo earlier lawful use or cancel a valid draw entry or payment already earned.
Depending on the circumstances, you may ask to see your information, correct it, delete it, limit its use or receive a portable copy. You may object to uses based on legitimate interests. You have the right to stop direct marketing at any time.
Email team@satinlore.com to make a request. We may ask for a proportionate identity check so we do not release information to the wrong person. We normally respond within one month. If the law allows extra time, we will explain why.
You may complain to the UK Information Commissioner's Office at https://ico.org.uk/make-a-complaint/ or to the relevant data protection authority where you live. You do not have to contact us first.
Adults only
The waitlist and research programme are for people aged 18 or older. We do not knowingly invite children to join. If you think a child has given us information, contact the team so we can investigate and remove information we should not hold.
Changes
We will date updates to this notice. If we change how we use information in a material way, we will tell the people affected and obtain fresh consent where required. We will explain any new account, payment or connected-device processing before it starts.
